And I learned that it’s easier to melt cheese at room temperature instead of straight from the refrigerator. I like that there is a cap to put out the flame after use. I like the heaviness of this mortar and pestle. I use it a lot. I am using it for smashing garlic, grinding cumin and other spices and herbs. I am learning other uses for this too. It is a good size.
