It functions fine, but takes a while to heat up and was a little confusing the first time using it (it seemed like it was ready to brew, but wouldn’t and I think it just wasn’t hot enough yet). It’s also pretty loud and was vibrating the lid on the tank reservoir and was vibrating the 2 shot glasses I had sitting under the spout (so much they were moving out of place). I find this portafilter to be particularly useful for testing extractions on La Specialista machines. I have the touch model, and it works perfectly. I’m in love! If first impressions are everything this machine fits the bill. The design is sleek and unobtrusive yet boasts so many different functions. The controls are lit and easy to read. This machine is so much more than a pretty face though. It makes fantastic, cappuccino and espresso. Now I can enjoy both at home and not just in restaurants.
