It’s more of a creamy yellow white vs a bright white - not a dealbreaker for me although I maybe would’ve chosen black had I seen the actual color. You can have the fire and flame on without the heat, which is nice for aesthetics. The heat function works quickly and would be sure to heat up a room to comfortability. I do think it runs constantly vs reaching a certain temperature and turning off like a thermostat. It does have a safety feature that will turn off the heater if it overheats.. Sayde. Tulsa, OK. The VH240 whole room heater is an effective way to reduce energy costs. This whole room heater has a thermostatic temperature control knob. Select your desired heat setting with a simple turn of the dial. Vornado’s signature Vortex Whole Room Heat Circulation then distributes the warm air throughout the room. Unlike typical heaters whose hot coils create areas of extreme heat directly around the heater, the VH240 outputs a steady current of heat that envelopes the room in comfortable warmth. This heater is whisper-quiet, and employs advanced safety features to provide worry-free use. A tip-over switch automatically cuts the heat and power to the unit if tipped over. With Vornado’s unique design, the VH240 outer casing remains cool enough to touch, even after hours of extended operation. The VH240 is backed by a 5-year limited warranty for season after season of worry-free warmth
