For me it’s limiting because the only way to turn it on is via the button on the wire at the base but where I have to plug it in the button is under other furniture. I love this lamp. I had one that I have had for serval years that was in my home office. I wanted to move this into my bedroom next to our nightstands, once I did so I knew this was exactly the look I was wanting in there. The light is bright and the remote control allows you to adjust the brightness as well as color tone (cool or warm lighting). There’s a foot pedal for turning it on/off if you don’t want to use the remote.
