Versatile and agile, Safco's VUM Height-Adjustable Mobile Workstation helps get you up on your feet and tackle your daily tasks just about anywhere in your office, home, or classroom at an elevation that's ideal for you. Whether you're a teacher in front of the class or an IT professional rolling from one server to the next, the Safco VUM provides the perfect platform for you to keep your laptop, tablet, books, binders, or other reference materials in close proximity and readily accessible. Just step up to the VUM, press the handle under the right corner of the worktop, and push down or pull up to select a height that's just right for you anywhere along its 12-1/4" vertical adjustment range. Pneumatic operation of the worktop means you'll get some assistance raising the top surface and it'll stay where you set it without slowly sliding back down on its own. After you've found your ideal height, put down your laptop computer, stow your bottle of water in the onboard plastic cup holder and get to work. Store small but critical office supplies or personal items like your cell phone on the lower shelf of the VUM while you focus on getting things done up top. An integrated hook on the shelf even lets you hang up your computer bag or jacket so you don't accidentally leave it behind when you roll on to your next task. And that lower shelf does not move when you adjust the worktop, so it'll always be waiting for you at the same height. Four pivoting wheels on the VUM give you the freedom to move to more compelling spots in and around your work area whenever you need a change of scenery or to find some inspiration. The two front wheels lock to help keep the VUM in place while you type, write, research, review or collaborate with colleagues. Designed to complement all those modern, flexible work and educational environments, the mobile VUM features a laminate finished worktop and shelf and sturdy steel base for long-lasting durability in a variety of active settings. Every now and then you might want to vary your stance a little during your standing workday, so go ahead and add a Safco Mobis II Perch Stool (sold separately) to your VUM Mobile Workstation and have the means to easily do just that. Assembly Required. Part of the Safco Active Collection. Safco Active products are designed to promote active movement throughout the day and engage major muscle groups to help combat the negative effects of inactivity in many workplace settings.

I took a chance and ordered an open box for this item. It was package like a new one, however, after unpacking everything and proceeding into the assembly, I found that the plastic piece inside kne of the legs, to receive the caster/wheel was broken and pushed down inside the leg tube and not operable. Since I had it completely unpacked and partly assembled, I decide to try a fix. It was obviously broken. I hade to pry/pull the plastic part up and out. It came out in two pieces, should be one. I tried to glue the pieces together and re-installing. Now it has a loose fit but I was able to get the shaft of the caster wheel in. It is loose but appears to be working. Not at all sure if it will hold up when I get the cart loaded up? I believe this was a return and wasn’t inspected properly or they would have caught this broken critical part. I would like Wayfair or the manufacture to send me a new plastic piece that is inside the leg tube so that I can properly assemble the caster/wheel into the leg.. Rex. NC. Mon Dec 19 2022
