Color is just right and matches our pine furnishings. Bed went togather well. It looks good from a distance. Up close the finger joints do show under the lighter tone of the stain and finish. But overall this piece looks good. It is only 74 inches long and many twin mattresses are listed as 75 inches long. Also the standard 39 inch wide mattress will overhang about 3 inches. I used a 10 inch thick mattress and am sorry. The bed is quite high and not useful as a couch now. The limitations may not be as clear in online info as they could be. That may be solid wood, but it is extremely lightweight and came with several marred board places. I'm not about to send it back as the assembly pro was here ready to put it together. Bought this for my daughter. She loved it so much and it looked really good in her room. Had to take 1 star away because the front support beam snapped in half over time. Love this daybed! The velvet is so soft & plush. We got an 8 inch mattress & it just covers the gap in the back but it is a nice height for our backs. We placed it in the living room of our 1 bedroom condo in case we have guests. It’s so comfy to sit on & watch TV. The trundle is a great feature.
