The stool bases are pretty heavy and feel sturdy. The packaging was horrible but they don't look to be damaged. We haven't assembled these yet so I can't speak to the ease of that. They're definitely the exact style and color I was looking for - a polished gold finish with a black seat cushion. They will match perfectly with our newly remodeled black/white/gold kitchen. Though this will be the last large item I purchase from Wayfair. The box they came in said they were white which leads me to believe it wasn't the original box, that the chairs were repackaged in a previously used box. I can't imagine how else the box would be this busted up while the chairs were fine.. Courtney. Forest Park, IL. Wed Jul 11 2018

I was impressed by the care taken to assure the stools would be unharmed in the shipping process. The stools are very nice, colors match the online photo. As another review mentioned the screws that are installed into the seat and must be removed and reinstalled to the legs were too tight. I heard a grunt or two from my husband as he was trying to loosen them. I hope we are able to enjoy the beautiful stools for a long time.. Larelle. AZ. Sun May 12 2024
