The Seat Belt ottoman is one of many offerings in this contemporary seating collection by award-winning Thai designer Nuttapong Charoenkitivarakorn. The design was inspired by the intertwining spools of fabric seen when visiting a seat belt factory. Nuttapong’s striking chairs are easily recognizable by the braided backside and stiletto profile. The straps are woven on a frame made of wood that is reinforced with metal. There are monochromatic and two-tone versions, each of which is available in many colors. All of these reflect the ethos that the Phillips Collection personifies: modern organic.

I am obsessed with this! I needed something that was an off-white. In some of the pictures it looked stark white and some it looked like a winter white so I wasn’t sure what to expect but the color is exactly what I wanted! A beautiful warm white and there’s a sheen to the straps that give it an even more elevated look. Can’t wait for the matching rocker to arrive! Bonus points for my cat loving it too haha.. Roxie. The chairs are very aesthetically pleasing. They look great at my kitchen island. They are very comfortable. I wish they came in singles instead of a set of 2. I noticed while putting them together that the quality isn’t the greatest. The stitching isn’t quite lined up underneath. But it doesn’t take away from how great they look. I will purchase 2 more since I can’t just purchase 1. And they were a breeze to put together, only took me 1015 minutes.. Shareaka. Atlanta Ga. Sat May 23 2026
