The spoon I received is the huge buffet pierced spoon. I am afraid to order another one, for fear that it will be buffet size. I will just keep this one, although I doubt that I will have any occasion to use it. The Mikasa French Countryside flatware set is a quaint design, versatile enough to coordinate with multiple decorating styles. It has a highly polished finish which I plan to hand wash and dry most of the time, although Im sure it would hold up well in the dishwasher. The weight and balance is good, but I find it slightly more cumbersome to use than another set I have. In my pictures I show another older European sized set that is slightly larger, and a vintage set that I consider human sized, along with the Mikasa set in the center.
