It is a soft wood (fir) so you do have to be gentle with it & it did come with some shipping/packaging character marks, but our style is rustic/vintage so it works just fine. I actually modified it by cutting off the bottom 2” on each leg & adding rollers so it is easily moveable by just one person. Slides open and closed very smoothly. The doors on the cupboards are heavier. They open and close nicely. Softly. Theres a shelf in each. There is some antiquing I guess you could say, but its not much. There were no flaws or irregularities. The countertop tiles are very easy to wipe clean with a damp sponge. This is a very good piece of furniture and worth every penny spent. It arrived when they told me it would, and the gentleman who delivered it were top notch.
