We love the look of this and how it changed the look of our library. It is an inch larger than our previous light fixture, but because it is flush mount, it actually looks smaller. That being said, it seems to give more light, despite the darker shade, because it casts light on the ceiling. It's beautiful and makes a statement in our room. Love it! Very nice looking. Put two into our office, each with 3 led bulbs 100 w equivalents. Flush mount lights can be really annoying to install because there is so little space to align the mounting screws with the holes in the fixture.
