I ordered these lamps to replace the ones that were on our bedside tables and I love them! What I liked about these lamps was that they are smaller in bulk and would give us more space back for all the things we need to plug in at night. I also liked that they operate by touch to turn on/off. It's so simple now. The shade is white, so when the light is on, it brightens the room more. The lamps came with light bulbs saving an extra order or a trip to the store to buy them. That was a plus to me. At first I was concerned that the base was small and the lamp might tip over because it could be top heavy, but this isn't the case at all. These arrived in great shape. They were pretty easy to put together. I think it only took 15 minutes for both. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is we couldn’t get one of switches to line up so the switch faces the back of the lamp. No matter how we tried to thread it the switch wouldn’t line up.
