Very happy with it. Needed a trundle bed that would fit 9.5 inch mattresses. Bottom does just fine with 9.5 inch. Would probably do okay with 10 inch too. Only used the top so far but it’s comfy. If you have any creaking make sure to tighten everything up and it should be fine. They say not to tighten until end so then you need to go back and tighten to make sure there is no creaking or wiggling. Pretty easy to put together even as one person just a bit of time. All pieces arrived in great condition, individually packaged well. Boxes were a bit heavy but manageable. All screws and parts are here, extra screws included. Took me 30-45 min to assemble. Very slight smell out of package but that should go away. Frame is steel on both sides, with an extra support leg in the middle - i ordered this model because reviews of similar cheaper daybeds with no middle support had cracked in the centre. Legs are plastic but seem fine. Wood slats are sturdy, not thin. The grey upholstery is textured with flecks of dark and light grey, not a solid grey colour. I wish it came in black, but this grey is fine too, and the overall look is modern with clean lines. Confirming the back is not upholstery as other reviews have mentioned, so this day bed has to go against a wall. For those reading these reviews, I’m starting to question the intelligence of those that are saying it took 3 people and was a pain, etc. I put this bed together by myself and it took me about 1.5-2 hours! I think some folks just can’t follow directions or read It would have been easier with help as I had to be pretty flexible to hold the spindles while securing the pieces but I was too impatient to wait on my husband. But overall this piece looks good. It is only 74 inches long and many twin mattresses are listed as 75 inches long. Also the standard 39 inch wide mattress will overhang about 3 inches. I used a 10 inch thick mattress and am sorry. The bed is quite high and not useful as a couch now. The limitations may not be as clear in online info as they could be.
