This sofa bed is genuinely amazing and absolute perfection once you finally get it together. This is an elegant, firm sofa that was easy to assemble solo, and this is not something I usually do. I did have a friend help me flip it up onto its legs after assembly. The box arrived really beat up, and I had misgivings as I was unwrapping, but the contents were protected. I have now had this sofa for over a year; I slept on it for three months while fostered cats and kittens took over my bedroom. It would work to use it as a daily bed, but it is VERY firm. The blue velvet fabric has held up nicely despite 2 cats (who fortunately, do not scratch it). I have received many compliments on it; it is the focal point of the sitting area. I needed a small sofa and did not have any futon-type item in mind at all, but when I saw that this could be manipulated in so many ways, I thought it would be pretty handy - and attractive - and it is! It took a full 48 hours for all parts of it to be fully fluffed, and its a little on the stiff side, but Id still use it (this is going to be the kids couch). I dont think Id use it for the adults couch because I feel like Im going to slide off the front of it. The cushions are vacuum-compressed for packaging. Before installation, please firmly pat the cushions to help the silk cotton quickly expand and fill the entire cushion. It usually takes 2-3 days for cushions to fully plump up to optimal state.

It is just the size I needed. I was surprised at how easily and quickly I put it together by myself. Only needed help setting it upright and moving it to the rug. This is a small sofa (no legs) but perfect for what I needed it for...I have it in our basement family room against a wall and have the pillows on top of the back of the couch for support. This will be very handy when we have lots of family over at Christmas. The 2 lower cushions are separate, but a twin sheet fits around it so it would be easy to sleep on without the cushions separating. It would be handy if the 2 top cushions had clips that would keep the 2 cushions together in case someone would want to sleep on that part.
