North States Wood Gate

I love this gate! I wanted my Great Dane to have access to my entire wrap around porch when I wasn't home for security and space to move around without leaving our yard. I needed a gate that looked good, was easy to install, convenient, and could be removed when needed without any signs it was ever there. This gate is perfect. I love that it has five legs for good stability and a door for convenience. Although, it was pricey, it looks good and was worth it to me!. Cindy. NC. Fri Oct 14 2022

Really nice looking and substantial doggie gate. Super reasonable price for the quality. Arrived within 24 hours!!. Itin. Melbourne, FL. Sat Oct 17 2026

We love our pets, but sometimes there are areas in the home that are off-limits, whether it's because you're applying a fresh coat of paint to the master suite walls or hosting friends in the living room for a lively fete. This pet gate limits Fido's access to certain parts of the house without compromising on style! Crafted from solid wood, it features a double-jointed hinge system that allows you to fold it in both directions and set it up in almost any doorway. Plus, it folds up when not in use, so you can give your furry friend free rein of the house again. This is a single extender panel to add to the compatible pet gate to expand it.

Perfect size for what I need to use them for and that is keeping my doggy from going into one room of my home.. Anonymous. Fri Oct 02 2026

The Cardinal Gates Step Over Pet Gate is the perfect solution for small pet containment. This freestanding gate has bar spacing's of 2.25” and is designed for small breeds, non-jumpers, and puppies. At 20" tall, this gate is the perfect height for you to step over, yet keeps your pet contained. It is adjustable and able to close off openings from 28" to 51.75”. Multiple 22” extension panels can be added to increase the maximum width of this gate (model SGX, sold separately). It features solid wood construction and is easy to set up with minimal assembly necessary. The included rubber-bottomed feet protect your floors while adding stability. This gate is intended for indoor use only and all necessary assembly hardware is included in the box, no wall mounting necessary. Available in Natural, Walnut, and White.

READ ME! I was a little stumped by the assembly of this gate, but once I figured it out (with NO help to the included instructions or video), I really do like it. Upon receipt when you unscrew the two main pieces of the gate, keep an eye out for 4 small square nuts that may fall out of the grooves. After you determine the size needed, these nuts are essential to hold the two gate pieces together. The video and instructions make it seem like you just simply fasten the screws into the grooves on top and bottom. Well, you do, but if you screw only into the grooves - without the square nuts - there is nothing to catch the screws, and thus, you will be unsuccessful. If you are luckier than me, and your nuts don't fall out of the grooves and go missing for a few days, you need to know that the nuts can be moved back and forth inside the grooves depending on the size you want. Use these nuts to secure your screws, and you'll be golden! I have two small dogs (up to 9 pounds each), and I chose this gate because it is adjustable to any size you wish, and it has feet (rather than needing to be secured to a wall). The feet can be placed along the bottom at any desired location (or you can opt not to use them at all). I chose to screw them in the bottom (but you don't need to) because it gave my gate added stability, and seeing how I plan to move the gate to other locations, this way I don't have to worry about the legs falling off during the moves. The feet have rubber pads at the bottom which help them stay in place on the hard floor. If you're looking for a gate where you wish to increase/decrease the size often to let dogs through, this isn't the gate for you as that would be a bit cumbersome with screwing/unscrewing; however, if you want a gate that sits at a certain size and can be stepped over or easily moved, this is perfect! I am 5'4" and can easily step over the gate, but my small dogs cannot get over/through it. I hope this review helps!. Theresa. Sun Prairie, WI. Fri Dec 06 2019

I used these for my toddlers. I loved that is was tall enough to deter them, but short enough for my husband and I to step over. Because they are light weight, we did have to use creative ways to keep my toddlers from knocking it over, like wedging them between two stair banisters at the bottom. Overall, they matched our aesthetic and served its purpose. We’re very pleased!. Monique. Mon Nov 03 2025

Attractive and Durable, but Needs Securing I've used this gate since December 2023, and it has held up well. It's attractive, heavy, and true to size, and I really appreciate the height. The included support feet are a nice option, although I don't use them. My main complaint is that my dogs can push the gate to the side unless I secure it with carabiners. With that workaround, it serves its purpose. Overall, I'm happy with its appearance and durability, and I prefer it to a typical utilitarian-looking pet gate.. Sims Family Reviews. Kansas.
