I love my new island. Its beautiful. Solid. Well made. The drawer is very large but fits my silverware, my knives, my accessories for baking, etc., in my dividers. There is some antiquing I guess you could say, but its not much. There were no flaws or irregularities. The countertop tiles are very easy to wipe clean with a damp sponge. This is a very good piece of furniture and worth every penny spent. It arrived when they told me it would, and the gentleman who delivered it were top notch. Just what I was looking for in a real solid wood kitchen island on a budget! It fits our space & is a basic style for a good price. It is a soft wood (fir) so you do have to be gentle with it & it did come with some shipping/packaging character marks, but our style is rustic/vintage so it works just fine. I actually modified it by cutting off the bottom 2” on each leg & adding rollers so it is easily moveable by just one person. Overall, we are super happy with this. It was pretty easy to put together and fits well in our small kitchen. Love the color and that it has wheels so we can move it around easily. A few small complaints a couple of the pre-drilled holes did not match up quite right- some muscling and wiggling and we were able to make it work. The little pieces that fold out to support the drop leaf do not fold out fully due to a lip that is formed...that piece was already together when we got it so couldn’t do much about it. The leaf is still functional though. The detachable board (which we LOVE) was put together a little crooked, but was like that in the box. Still functional. Also of note we found this exact piece of furniture listed under two different names with two different prices with nearly 100 difference. Same pictures and same description. Very nice product. The one minor issue is the handles on the doors, they are very loose and cannot tighten them up. Will replace them with regular knobs. other than that this is a very well made product.. Anonymous. Sat May 16 2026
