We bought these to install in the kids’ rooms and play areas. So far, we’ve installed two of the six, and I love them! We wanted something low-profile that the kids would be less likely to hit or break (we have four kids under 6), and these definitely fit the bill. I was looking at a few different lights that looked very similar, and it took me a little while to realize that these allow you to adjust the lighting color, while the others didn’t. I love that we can choose a warmer or cooler light depending on what we want. They can also be dimmed at the switch, which is especially nice when the kids are getting ready for bed or when we need a little light in the middle of the night. We’re planning to install the others in the hallway and playrooms. My husband can install one in under 5 minutes! It would probably take me 15–20 minutes since I’ve never installed a light before and would have to look up how to do it, but even that seems pretty easy. We will be installing the lighting this weekend, but so far, it looks like it's going to be great for where I want to use it. We will be placing it over a portion of our kitchen counter that is very dark and has lots of shadows after losing daylight from the window. I've tried several options that just haven't panned out, so I think the ability to rotate and aim each light in different directions will really brighten up the area of our kitchen. I have very poor lighting in my house and was thinking of installing recessed lighting, but then I found this, which is a much less expensive option. The lighting simulated the patterns of the sky, including sunrise and cloudy days. The remote is easy to use . Installation requires watching a you tube video, but that made it much easier . Unfortunately, these lights don’t work in my house. They are made for new construction and in order to make them work in an older house. You have to retrofit the light fixture, which would cost more money than it’s worth. They are not made to go right into an existing light fixture. You will need to order the springs from the company for them to work unless you have newer construction they won’t work. That being said, they seem like good quality. Excellent. Drill two holes, insert wall anchor and attach the small plate and screws that came with it. The light slides onto the provided plate. I love that it’s ez to assemble, there are 3 light tones: yellow (warm light), yellow/white (in between warm and cool tone), and blue/white light. Also, you can adjust the intensity from a low level for mood lighting, to a bright level. You can also adjust the angle of the arms that have the shining light. These are sleek looking except the round base is a bit big. See photos that are taken in the day but I have honeycomb blinds and translucent white drapes, so the room is dim but not dark.
