The sofa assembled quickly, although two holes that were supposed to be pre-drilled for the back legs weren't there. In addition to bolts, the back legs have wooden dowels, meant to properly align the rear legs so they face the correct direction. Because the holes weren't drilled, I had to remove the dowel from each leg. The bigger issue is that the seatback cushions didn't fit into the cover, because the cushions are much too large. I even had neighbors come over to help me with it, but they just don't fit. I'm currently waiting to hear back from Wayfair after they contact Modway to have the appropriate sized back cushions sent to me. Otherwise, it's a beautiful sofa. A bit firm to sit on, but that should lessen over time. But frankly, I'm disappointed with Modway due to the issues. I'd considered them one of the better self-assemble furniture companies.. Randy. This little sofa is really lovely! The faux leather doesn’t look plastic-y or cheap at all, and it’s comfortable and sturdy. Looks more expensive than it was. Assembly was pretty straight forward, except putting on the back — there wasn’t a clear image of which direction it went, so make sure you look at where the Velcro goes and that the flap is supposed to cover the very back of the sofa. The instructions were not easy to follow at all. We have the same exact couch in a grey but I don’t remember it being this hard to set up. The couch is solid though and we must have liked it for us to get 2 of it! This one is in our family room and it has a beautiful royal blue color to it. If you are looking for a less bulky set that is still long and has room, this should do it. It does not look cheap. But I will say this - from knowledge of the other grey one we have, the fabric starts to have piles on it after a short time and this happens with age and from rubbing (sitting) upon it. I am now seeing that there might be ways to remove piling from furniture. I got the curry velvet color. It looks quite different than the color in the picture but I was expecting that from other photos. More deep orangey red brown than tan. But I actually think it's so beautiful! Took me and my boyfriend about 45 minutes to set it up, it was fairly easy. The bottom cushion is firm and the back cushions are nice and soft. I got it for my therapist office and I think that is a perfect combination for clients sitting on it regularly. This is a lovely mid century modern couch. It arrived very well packaged but did have a small scuff on the back of one of the cushions. It was hard to out together with two people. The directions say to put the arm on, then the back but either way was hard. Once they were together it slides together to lock and the feet go on.
