Inside, the segments are surrounded by small opaque white membranes, creating a circular pattern characteristic of citrus fruits. The lemon is made up of contrasts: sour and bright, opaque on the outside and crystalline on the inside, vibrant on the outside, pale on the inside, bitter on the palate, but widely used in sweets. All these characteristics have inspired us to develop the Lemon collection. Inspired by the bountiful, robust lemons that flourish in the sunshine along the Amalfi coast, the Limoni collection is cheerful, vibrant, and iconically Italian. The Limoni Cereal Bowl is a joy-spreading vessel for cereal, soups, desserts, and more.

Limone is so beautifully done - the lemons are stunning. I love all of the pieces - the bowls are wonderful - the shape, the size, perfect for so many things. I purchased four of these bowls a couple of months ago - I smile daily seeing them in the buffet cabinet. The other day, I heard what sounded like a sliding crash - horrible to find that all four shelf pegs supporting a glass shelf had snapped off (the shelf had less than 5 pounds on it - what looked like metal clips were not) - so sad- the heavy glass shelf broke 2 of my 4 Limone bowls below. I think it says a lot about how beautiful these bowls are and how much I love them - I’m on here tonight to order replacements. I want to have these bowls for a very long time.. Alexandra S.. Part of the collection's proceeds will go to the reforestation of the Amazon area of Mato Grosso, by planting indigenous fruit trees in cities, rural areas, and indigenous villages of the region where Eco arts Amazônia operates.

This collection by Bordallo Pinheiro results from a collaboration between the earthenware factory of Caldas da Rainha, founded in 1884 by Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro, EGEAC (Lisbon’s cultural and animation municipal entity), and Lisbon’s city council. The original Bordallo Pinheiro’s sardine, designed in the XIX century, due to its classic three-dimensional nature, became the ideal support for receiving the creative work that EGEAC develops since 2003, within Lisbon’s festivities, which transformed the sardine, iconic fish of Portuguese culture and gastronomy, an international icon of the city and of summer celebrations of the Portuguese capital.
