This island is exactly what I was looking for. It did take quite a while to put together as I was building it by myself. The box also arrived heavily damaged (someone had either stepped on it or kicked it). As a result, one of the doors was cracked. This is a nice piece and looks like the picture. However, be warned, this is a very complicated DIY assembly. I have lots of experience in that area and generally enjoy assembly and this took me 4-5 hours to assemble. We ordered the rolling island in white with stainless top. It was a bear to assemble, but we got it done. I chose this one because the wheels are hidden. It’s a lovely cabinet from the front and adds storage in the kitchen. It moves easily, sometimes too easily. The things I’m not crazy about are the back of the cabinet has panels that are secured with plastic tabs and screws. If you’re using this as an island, just know that they will show. The top is thin metal that scratches easily and shows EVERY handfingerprint. The top MUST have a towel etc under a cutting board to protect it. Very easy to put together with only one person. Stores quite a bit. When the leaf is extended, you have a nice, large workspace. Drawers are fairly deep, but are just a little bit too short to store ladles and other slightly longer kitchen utensils. Amazing product. Very good quality and really worked for me and the purpose I wanted it. The only thing is that I decided to not add the sides pieces since I didn’t need it and wanted this to be in the middle of the kitchen. This ended up being perfect for the space and a good deal for the price. Comes in two heavy boxes, but I had a hand truck to move them from the sidewalk to the kitchen, so I could by manage myself. I also put it together by myself, and it took a hot minute (multiple hours....hard to measure because I took mental breaks), but it wasn't hard. The pieces were all there, it wasn't confusing, just predictably tedious. Worth every second to gain the extra drawers and cabinet space. If i had a complaint, it's the the backside looks like exactly what it is (just the cheap panel), but it's no different than pictured plus it's where the barstools go anyway if you're worried about it. The only negative thing I have to say is the drawers are super thin and not very deep which is expected with the width of the island without the leaf up.
