It's exactly what I needed. An inexpensive day bed, low to the ground to transition my toddler into the next size up bed. She loves it. The instructions are terrible, the wood is bare, and the pieces aren't labeled clearly. But we all knew what we were buying when we bought this, so we can't complain!. Sarah. Cape Cod. This is a great bed. For the price we are really happy with it! We’re using it for our grandchildren. However, one thing you do need to know is a standard mattress doesn’t fit correctly. There’s about 3 to 4 inches on the top and the bottom that if a child was standing on the bed, their foot can go right down through. We are going to remedy it with some foam and some wood support. However, just beware of this issue. Other than that and the fact that the frame is too big for a standard twin mattress and too small for a twin XL. It’s a really great sturdy bed.. Patricia. Everything is good enough. It is very sturdy. There were a couple of really annoying instructions-related mistakes I made that are obvious once you get far enough in the assembly process but not obvious when you're just following the instructions. There is a velcro thing that's not on the right side of something, and there is no way the something should be flipped because it's bolted in a specific way. Not super consequential. The biggest issue, and the reason I almost returned, is a huge gap between the headboard shelves and the top of the mattress. Like a kid's head sized gap. My kid moves all around in her sleep, and clearly a lot of kids do, hence the railing-- and it's not out of the realm of possibility that she'll get her head into this gap, so I have to stuff pillows in there to secure it. The LED light cords are also right behind the gap (not in pic bc they weren't hooked up yet) which isn't ideal. Silly design flaw here, imo. There should just be something that closes this gap..
