Very impressive quality! This wood is absolutely solid and durable—the chairs easily hold 200lbs+. The wood grain is quite lovely and would look great with a stain, but we opted to paint. It turned out beautifully, there was only one small spot with a bit of wood glue on it that required a bit of elbow grease to sand down. It’s definitely heavy! It took my father and me about five hours to assemble. The little door won’t open, so I’m guessing we may have done something wrong during assembly. I still love it, though! Fairly easy to build, I did it myself in a little over an hour. My daughter hasn’t used it yet but it seems pretty durable and I think she is going to enjoy it a lot. My only complaint is that, while I know wood grain can come with natural imperfections, I wasn’t expecting this much minor aesthetic damage, but not enough to really complain and send back (some of the white in my picture is styrofoam I haven’t gotten off yet). This is absolutely perfect for my daughter. It only took me about 90 minutes by myself to put together and I found the instructions very easy to follow.
