This solid wood desk is suitable for use in children's rooms, bedrooms, play rooms, and other spaces.

Perfect! I’m using the table in my 7 yr old daughter’s play room. Quality is great. Easy to assemble. We used an electric wrench rather than the one enclosed. I covered it with a clear desk mat to protect the surface from markers and paint. Two adult sized chairs fit perfect on both sides. She can definitely grow with this table.. Pamela. Spring, TX. Guidecraft has created an innovative sensory table that supports every child’s physical and cognitive development through a one-of-a-kind play experience. Based on extensive research and theory, the Sensory System provides every budding scientist and creative maker with agency and the opportunity to explore individual interests. The base component of this new system is a Greenguard Gold Certified Sensory Table and canopy made from sturdy hardwood that features an easy-to-clean, water-resistant finish. A deep play basin with drain is included, creating an invitation for open-ended activities using playful materials such as beans, rice, or traditional sand and water. The slatted canopy features a graceful, Pikler-inspired arch. This overhead structure promotes active, exploratory play across multiple levels, nurtures natural curiosities and overlays additional gross motor skills as children engage their entire bodies, attach tubes and drape silks. Children can incorporate the double-sided lid into art activities by using the chalkboard, or remove to create a convenient storage shelf below the bin. Combine with Sensory System Tubes and Clips Set (sold separately) to create unscripted, immersive opportunities for cause and effect discoveries, an introduction to early physics properties, and experimentation with holes, gravity, transport and movement. For ages 18 months and up. Entire wooden table with canopy measures 32"W x 25"D x 44"H. Plastic bin with drain and chalkboard lid/shelf included.

The perfect addition to our playroom! Assembly was easy enough and, fortunately, the top cleans really easily with a magic eraser after being scribbled on with crayons and markers. My only complaint is that the fabric bins that come with it are a *little* flimsy, so if they’re full of crayons and a kid is trying to handle them it kind of collapses.. Jessica. Nashville, TN. Sat Aug 22 2026

Love this! Took about two hours to put together, but directions were clear. Perfect size for my rwl year old and we love that we can store things in the table. I do wish the removable pieces had hinges instead to prevent dropping on little fingers, but so far so good and she uses it every day. Morgan. Grapevine, TX. Sun Sep 06 2026

Hhhhmm, gave this 4 stars for one reason. As for assembly it was a breeze. Shipped out quickly and looks great. And the overall size is large and perfect for painting and playdough and all the projects of a 5 year old boy. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that in shipping the box was destroyed and the table ended up with scuffs on the top. Honestly not worth sending back, but wish they had sealed the box better..
