I’ve had the chair for awhile and I love it. It’s lasted so far and has endured a few cat hairballs and cleaned up well. I did change the wheels for rubber ones as soon as it was delivered, so I can’t speak on the wheels it comes with. It’s cat approved and worth the buy!. Remington S. Dfw Area. Wed Oct 07 2026

Chair is very high quality, it has a very solid feel and is really well made. Assembly took less than a minute and required no tools. Lots of seat adjustments and overall a great purchase. This Gesture chair was designed by Steelcase to be confident, intentional, and highly evolved with simple sophistication. The design was meant to inspire confidence that it would deliver a great experience time and time again. The key design driver was to fundamentally rethink the chair based on the movement of the human body and the way we work today. Gesture won the Neocon Gold Award in 2013.

Very happy with the colors I chose. Quality of material is high. It arrived pre-assembled in a giant box. It was well wrapped and there's not a nick or scratch on the chair. Since working from home I burnt through a $400 chair in 2.5 years. I decided to make the investment in a higher quality chair. So far when I sit in it my sciatica goes away and my body is just immediately comfortable. I'm only 5'3" and my feet can actually firmly be on the ground. Very happy that I went with the Gesture. It adjusts to fit my height and the arm rests come in closer. I think this chair would still be great for average height people, but it's adjustable so that it works for smaller builds too.. Sg. USA. The Amia chair has a secret. Beneath the Amia chair's upholstery, inside its sleek backrest, there's a unique comfort system called live lumbar™ technology. You may not see it, but you'll certainly feel it. As you sit in the chair an adjustable live lumbar™ zone flexes with your every move for consistent ergonomic support for your lower back, hour after hour, day after day. The Amia chair was designed by Steelcase in collaboration with industrial designer, Thomas Overthin of IDEO.

I LOVE my navy and silver task chair. The upholstery is perfect; very smooth for my sensitive skin. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have this ergonomic task chair with all the bells and whistles that work so easily. The lumbar feels so good on my back. The arms are so flexible to move any which way I need them to. The casters are perfect for my hardwood floor; I can flip from one area of my desk to the other freely. It was so easy to take the well-protected chair out of the packaging. It is a fantastic buy. The entire experience was exceptional and I am thrilled. Thank you Wayfair for selling Steelcase and thank you Steelcase for still being the #1 manufacturer of task chairs after all these many years! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!. Carolishca. Lake Worth, FL. A black-finished base rests on five hooded caster wheels that can travel over just about any floor type. And a foot ring is included, adjustable to suit your desired height. Flip-up armrests, a lumbar support, and swivel and tilting functions make sure this office chair suits you and your space.

well the first thing that comes to mind is the speed of shipping that came very fast. the chair itself is awesome. I just could not find a comfortable counter height chair for my counter height kitchen table so I was thinking out of the box. I assembled it in probably a half hour to 40 minutes without any problems. I especially like the longer handle allen wrench with the bar at the end of it that made screwing in the screws a lot easier than a little finger allen wrench that you usually get with stuff. all the parts were there all the screws lined up without difficulty. chair is basic with nice coloring and ample padding on chair seat and arms. I am able to reach around while sitting to adjust the lumbar support. this chair has a rocking mechanism which I was not aware of but I havent dialed that in just yet but there is a knob to adjust the rocking mechanism. the height adjustment is pretty straightforward you have to not be sitting on the seat to raise it up. the seat is wide enough so I can sit with one leg under in a cross leg position and that was a big plus for me. the armrests lift up fully out of the way. I have lvp vinyl in the kitchen so these caster wheels slide across very easily. the foot rest is also what I had to consider and this one is perfect. all in all this is a perfect chair for my counter height kitchen table and it supports my wide load without difficulty.. The dynamic lumbar support, adjustable headrest, and 3D flip-up armrests help create a more ergonomic sitting experience for home offices, computer desks, study rooms, and executive workspaces.

Very high quality, easy to put together, and strong. I am a 6' 3", 310 lb man, and this chair is big even for me. Definitely recommend. I also purchased for the head support, and it is the prefect height for my head. The headrest is not height-adjustable, which is the only downside I see. The wheels roll smooth. The armrests lowest level is a tad high, but that doesn't bother me or my posture.. Josh. Minneapolis, MN. Sat Apr 18 2026

The M59AS dynamic lumbar support adjusts to your lower back, offering constant comfort whether you sit still or move throughout the day.

I’ve gone through a lot of office chairs and a lot of different styles. This looked a little bit intimidating to assemble for an office chair but it was very simple to put together. Everything was packaged and labeled really well. The base is VERY heavy and sturdy. The arm rests and adjustment in multiple ways which is really nice. My only negative would be the feel of the seat but I use a chair pad so it doesn’t bother me. Move been really happy with it is far.. Julia. WV. Sat Oct 03 2026

Overall Rating 3.55 Stars – Good Functionality, Disappointing Material Quality I’ve been using this chair for approximately three and a half years, exclusively at home, and I’ve always taken good care of it. Unfortunately, the materials have started to deteriorate. As shown in the attached photo, left armrest has developed a long crack across the surface. Additionally, the seat cushion foam has started to develop an unpleasant odor, which is disappointing and makes the chair less comfortable to use. On the positive side, all the mechanical functions and adjustments are still working properly. I haven’t experienced any issues with the chair’s overall functionality. However, considering that the chair has only been used indoors under normal conditions and has been well maintained, I expected the upholstery and seat cushion materials to last longer than three years. Overall, it’s a functional chair with good mechanical durability, but the quality and longevity of the upholstery and cushioning materials could be significantly better. My overall rating is 3.5 out of 5 stars. The chair still works well, but the deterioration of the materials and the unpleasant odor prevent me from giving it a higher rating.. Ahmet. Rego Park, NY.
