This is a solid, well-made bed. I was especially pleased at the quality of the wood. This is not MDF or fiberboard. This is a seven layer plywood with oak veneer. I encountered no problems whatsoever during assembly. The pieces fit perfectly together, and were flush and square. As with any piece of furniture you have to assemble, it is very important to take your time and not be in a hurry. I am very pleasantly surprised with just how good this bed is.. Jeffrey. Size Purchased: California King Overall very content with this purchase. I live alone so assembly was a bit difficult but I managed by myself (6'4" dude), but for most buyers I'd imagine it would take two people to handle it. During assembly very important to leave bolts at joints loose so that they can be wiggled into tight fighting place at final stages. Prior to laying down the mattress on top, the smaller composite wood legs in the middle of the frame did not touch flush with the ground. However, with laying down the mattress and lying on it they support the weight and the frame feels sturdy/doesn't wobble. The design is simple and sophisticated, and I will update this review at a later date after using the bed for a year or so. Highly recommend!. Anders. Los Angeles, CA. Thu Jul 09 2026
