Overall the crate is very nice, putting it together took quite a few hours but it came together. I took a star away because it’s kinda hard to open the front doors without putting your whole arm through the crate bars to unlatch the bottom & top. Also one side of the front crate door hinges didnt properly go in all the way so the doors are a little uneven. Very well built cage, high quality wheels, stable, lots of space, a bit bigger than the standard 30 x 30 x 30 interior plus cart, but my birds love it. The only drawback is cage bars that go horizontally at the sides of the cage so you can't attach water containers and toys, etc., through the bars, but the front bars are vertical and perfectly spaced. It's a decent cage but came with some screws that were not really ideal for putting it together. Also instructions were a little vague but not too hard to figure out and takes longer than 45 minutes to put together even with 2 people even using a power drill. Also power drill is a must since they only made holes on one side of it to put together. Also, there could of been better attachment pieces for the top and bottom without having to add locks on it. I have an anxious puppy who doesnt like to be away from his people any amount of time. We had an wire crate before and he really hated it. He actually was able to break a piece of wire from it and free himself. This crate however is extra sturdy and although he may bite and scratch, theres nothing more than light scratches on the metal. We leave it open and he will go in on his own a nap, something he wouldnt do with the other kennel. I believe the wood top makes him feel secure. Were very happy with this purchase.. Chef. NC. The description says for small dog but my dog is a medium dog and has plenty of space. I had to look at the measurements before buying to make sure he would be okay in there because the description says for a small dog. Overall it’s great, I do just wish that the gates for the dog were more heavy and sturdy because if my dog really wanted to he could probably break through it. The back board is also flimsy so I wish it was a sturdier material since it’s for a dog. That’s the only reason for a 4 star because if my dog truly wanted to break out I don’t doubt that he could.
