Global Views Ceramic Modern Vase

This vase is made in amber-colored interiors with pale blue exteriors. The Interior and exterior are originally shiny glass until the artisans apply a chemical etching to the exterior surface to help create a soft texture giving contrast to the shiny interior. The final design has been hand "pulled" while still molten into the shapes you see here and also "pinched" on the front edge to add special emphasis to the bulging shape where the trip originates.

This is the perfect addition to my fireplace hearth. The number of colors in the collection determines the number of templates used to layer the sand onto the glass. Global Views is proud to be the first manufacturer in the United States to present the latest technology in home decor: a sound-made Portuguese ceramic collection. The process begins with recording an amazing voice in a spaciously beautiful monastery in Alcobaca (pronounced al-ku-ba-sa), Portugal. A computer program first maps the coordinates for the base of the design and then allows the sound of the voice to create the shape that builds from there. Once completed, the digital design is 3D printed into a mold that's used to create slip-molded ceramic vases. You'll notice that the vessels are only available in a white finish as a tribute to the monastery's Cistercian aesthetic, which prohibited all colored and patterned stained glass. Only colorless stained glass was allowed for light to pass through as clean, pure, and white providing tranquility and calmness.
