The desk is solid wood, stained a lovely honey color. It's a perfect fit for my somewhat small and crowded multipurpose room. It is very sturdy and well made. The desktop has ample room for my computer, printer, a telephone modem, and a container of pens & pencils. I love the pullout keyboard tray. It smoothly goes in and out and comfortably holds my keyboard, mouse, and some small office supplies. When the keyboard tray is completely closed, the desk has a very finished and sleek look and the keyboard is completely hidden. I paid Wayfair for assembly and the fee was well worth it.
