Fantastic purchase! First think is this is big and tall. Be prepared to get a lot of sand. I bought 300lbs. and it took it like nothing. Locate and place base begore filling for sure. The umbrella itself is wonderful. It is beautiful and covers a large area and just looks luxurious. It opens abd closes with ease. The 360 degree turning is also easy and a great feature. The umbrella looks great. However, it leaks when it rains. So, the cushions on the chairs under the umbrella get dripped on. I assume the seams of the umbrella are defective. Our old wooden market umbrella was recovered several times with Sunbrella fabric. Even after many years, the latest Sunbrella fabric did not leak. I now regret giving it away. Bambrella Santa Ana collection has a two-piece pole so that the umbrella pole can be split. This allows for easy storage and ease of transportation. The pole connector is made from stainless steel and the screw system is extremely strong. The hub and runner are made from nylon, and are designed so that they can be split in half. This permits the arms to be replaced quite easily. We also use a patented cleat system instead of using a pin to hold up the umbrella. This enables one to have the shade at different heights.

This double umbrella is huge!!! It took up my large lanai , and provides some really good shade. Really heavy and good quality. But you must have some sandbags to put on the base so it has stability. When space is limited, the half umbrella provides the same great shade and features as a standard umbrella, flush against a wall or side of a house. The easily tilts front to back with a simple push of a button and easily closes with a turn of a knob.

Pretty good umbrella. One of the few half umbrellas with adjustable height and tilt (somewhat) that I could find. I have experienced the same problem as other reviewers in that if I open the umbrella according to the instructions, it wont stay open. Once I realized that I should open it from the back, pushing down on the center piece (see picture), rather than pulling down on the bottom rails, I was golden. Try opening it like you would a rain umbrella and make sure it clicks into place firmly. Otherwise, the size and shape offer us flexibility. We even open it and leave it vertical to block our large picture window to keep out the heat/sun (see picture). Want to buy another to cover another angle/patio door, but they are out of stock.... This is a well-built umbrella All parts look weatherproof The large square 10' canopy give us excellent shade, and it holds up in the wind very well The only downside is that we use it with our patio table, and we cannot roll it down all the way because the long spines come in contact with the edge of the table which is probably due to the size of the umbrella Other than that, we are completely happy with the product.
