We love this dog house. We have a 110 pound German shepherd who prefers being outside. I never grew up with an outdoor dog so I was extremely hesitant to move him full time to our backyard, but this dog house made it an easier choice. He’s super happy and so are we. One thing to note is the installation is very tricky. We thought we could do it ourselves but we ended up paying someone 700 to build it for us. This is a very pretty alternative to the traditional metal dog crate. It does have a yellowish tinge to it(not as white as the photos suggest), but we were ok with it. Our 50lb hound/shepherd mix puppy has ample space to stand and stretch out. I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because, I think with a little time and boredom, she would easily be able to chew or dig her way out of this. We are using it only as a sleeping crate in our bedroom, so I am not worried about that. But I wouldn't put her in this and then leave the house. I purchased two of these to use as elevated feeding stations for my cats because temporary mobility restrictions make repeated bending difficult. When I got this, it was on a significant sale, so I could not pass it up. My husband thought we didnt need another dog bed but Winston quickly proved him wrong. Winston is about 58 lbs and this bed is a perfect fit. If he wants to he can stretch out, and if he wants to, he can make himself a cute little cozy corner. I would say that he seems to prefer this over his other beds, but hes really not picky when it comes to lying down. However, when I lay down next to him, I do like the support this one gives my neck. Im planning to use this for my new chicken run so Im not attaching the dog bowls but the door swing around great and lock in place. The whole structure is very sturdy. Assembly was super easy. Had it together in an hour with 2 of us. Only negative is that the for is short so I need to duck to enter. Not a huge deal.
