The difference between a wound paper (or cork) and a bristle board, is that when the dart is retrieved from the board, the bristle will close the hole made by the dart. The other boards just leave the hole. This leads to faster wear and tear.

I really love the look of this game set. The design fits perfectly with my living room decor, which was honestly the main reason I purchased it. It has a much more polished and decorative look than the traditional version, so I’m happy to leave it out as part of the room. My only complaint is the way the pieces are removed after each game. Unlike the original game this is modeled after, there isn’t a release lever at the bottom, so you have to manually tip or dump the pieces out before setting it back up again. This is a very cool and fun outdoor game. It arrived very compact. It wasn’t too difficult to put together. Some of the pieces weren’t perfect but still functional for assembly.
