The Lady in Gold is a famous portrait painted by Gustav Klimt in 1907. Officially titled Portrait of Adele Bloch-Bauer I, it depicts Adele Bloch-Bauer, a wealthy Viennese woman and patron of the arts, dressed in an elaborate gold gown. The painting is renowned for its striking use of gold leaf, intricate patterns, and decorative elements, characteristic of Klimt's "Golden Phase." The composition combines portraiture with ornamental design, making it a masterpiece of Art Nouveau. The portrait became famous not only for its artistic value but also for its dramatic history. After World War II, it was seized by the Nazis, and it was only returned to the Bloch-Bauer family in the 2000s after a long legal battle. The painting is now housed in the Neue Galerie in New York.

I really like this picture for the price. The canvas is decent quality. Packaging was very protective. No damage. The frame is attached kind of weird in my opinion and a bit bright, I may tone it down with some antiquing. Wish they would have offered a wood tone. Very lightweight, hung myself with just nails..
