The Expo torchiere can illuminate any room with even up lighting. A beautiful frosted glass shade diffuses bright ambient light. An Adesso patented 300-watt double Socket construction allows for two crisscrossed sockets, each holding on/off 150-watt incandescent or LED bulbs which provides approximately 3 times more light than a typical torchiere. The brushed steel finish is complemented with chrome accents on a chunky pole that gives the lamp a bold presence in a room. A simple high/low rotary switch is located on the pole to adjust the brightness. This lamp has a black cord and is smart outlet compatible. Use incandescent bulbs up to 150W or dimmable LED bulbs (Do not use: 3-way bulbs or CFLs). We recommend using incandescent bulbs for best results achieving both settings of 50% brightness and 100% brightness with no flicker. When using LED bulbs, it is common to see some flicker on the low setting (the high setting will always have no flicker). A dimmable LED will minimize the low-setting flicker, but may still occur. We have many of these in our house. They work very well to brighten our rooms that have not overhead lights. However, our third lamp in a row just died right after 5 years ( so all have been out of warranty and just past the 5 year mark). Gavrich 19" LED Arc Floor Lamp

We were looking for a lamp that could be placed behind a couch and provide light for reading, etc. This lamp fit the bill exactly and we are very happy with it. Some notes on the lamp: 1. The three lighting levels are achieved by switching on and off the separate heads. Two lights are grouped together for level one, three lights for level two, and all five lights for level three. 2. The heads can be aimed, and the arms can be rotated side to side for placement, but the arms themselves are not flexible. 3. Assembly was fairly straightforward, but the stamped wrench included with the lamp was too flimsy to really get the base firmly attached. I love this lamp. I had one that I have had for serval years that was in my home office. I wanted to move this into my bedroom next to our nightstands, once I did so I knew this was exactly the look I was wanting in there.
