This traditionally styled German quartz cuckoo clock accurately keeps time and the cuckoo bird comes out to cuckoo on the hour.. The hand-carved case features five leaves and a bird. Two decorative pine cone weights are suspended beneath the clock case by two chains. On every hour the cuckoo bird emerges from a swinging door above the clock dial and counts the hour by cuckooing once per hour. (Example: At one o'clock the bird will cuckoo once. At eight o'clock the bird will cuckoo eight times). This cuckoo clock has an on/off switch and a light sensor that silences the clock when it is dark. Requires three C size batteries to operate (not included). *Great effort has been made to portray each cuckoo clock as accurately as possible. As with many handmade items, the exact coloration and carving may vary slightly from clock to clock. We consider this to be a special part of their character. This clock is covered by a two year limited warranty covering workmanship and manufacturers defects.

We absolutely love this clock. My parents had a similar one when I was young and it was destroyed. I bought this in a wave of nostalgia, ane love hearing cuckoo cuckoo again. Beautifully carved as well.. Melissa. Venetia, PA. Tue Nov 14 2023

Love this cuckoo clock. When my parents visited Germany they brought us back a cuckoo clock just like this but a bit smaller. We had a fire in our house and the cuckoo clock was destroyed so we were thrilled to find this one on line. The website says it uses batteries that are not included. It has an internal battery so you don’t have to worry about changing batteries. It is gray to see the cuckoo pop out and hear it chirping.. Margaret. Holliston, MA. Thu Mar 18 2021
