It arrived safely and without any issues. It is a medium-sized extraction fan; it does not include any lighting. I hooked it up, and—compared to others—it is quite quiet. You can hear it, of course, but the sound is not loud. It is quite powerful, and the metal base looks sturdy; however, it does not include the hose for venting moisture outdoors.. Jess. FL. The Broan line of make-up air dampers removes the unnecessary energy cost penalty from the equation. Broan Make-Up Air Dampers operate only when it is necessary to let compensation air into the home. This is accomplished by the SmartSense fans and/or selected BEST or Broan range hoods communicating with the Broan Make-Up Air Damper when it is time to open and let compensation air into the home.

Purchased this during a kitchen remodel when we determined that we needed a make-up air duct. We had purchased a Thermador Hood for our kitchen when we realized it likely was going to pull out to negative pressure in the home. This has worked great with the pressure switch that automatically opens the damper when the pressure builds in duct. Only had a problem with the pressure sensor on install, found out quickly from tech support that it can only be mounted upright, we had not. When I corrected that, it functioned as it was supposed to.. Jhakes. Green Bay Wi. Thu Oct 04 2018

This product features a totally enclosed condenser motor and a large, double suction blower wheel to quietly move air. A small wheel turning very fast will create more noise than a large wheel turning more slowly for a given airflow. This Whisper-ceiling bathroom fan uses a wide blower wheel that moves a large amount of air at reduced RPMs. The blower wheel is also designed to draw air in from both sides, which helps keep the noise down, as there is more area for the air to enter the wheel. In fact, it is quiet enough that you might not even know it's on.

We love it. It moves so much air.. Britney. Longwood, FL. Sun Jun 28 2020
