This rug looks lovely in my living room. It is more “BLUE-blue” than a neutral navy, and that subtle pop of color was exactly what I was looking for. It has shed quite a bit so far but I don’t mind and I expect that to abate with time. Definitely happy with my purchase. Excellent rug, quite soft, and very cushy. Great as a runner! The pattern is modern and muted, and not purposefully "antique" which lends to my pro tip: even if you buy cheap stuff, buy things made of natural materials, not intentionally styled as aged, and buy what you love. Your home will look effortlessly curated and classy. As for the negative reviews... the rug wasn't yellow as some other folks reported, but boy is she a shedder at first. But that's just what you should expect with a brand new wool rug. Do a few extracurricular rounds of excessive vacuuming, and you'll get drastically less daily shedding. Unfortunately the only real con I've run into is that it's taken a long time to fully smooth out, even being weighted down on raised areas. I'd definitely suggest this rug for people with cats with penchants for stretching their little greasy mitts on anything that feels remotely textured - I really wanted a wool rug but without loops, or as close to no loops as possible. Shockingly hard to find! I think the search term is "cut pile" rug, which this one gets pretty close to. Any darker portion of the pattern is looped, while all lighter parts of this pattern are cut. I just have to write a review for this rug since I've now had it for 5 years!! It is our living room rug and looks brand new and just perfect. We have a cat who plays on it, and it gets lots of use. If there is a little pull (the cat), no worries, its hand tufted and you can just take the yarn out - the piling is so dense it would never show - I've done that many times and it looks like new. The fabric is soft and luxurious and the pattern works perfectly with our decor. The rug flattened out on its own (no curled corners) within a couple of hours of putting it down. The only negative is it's not really 8'x10', rather, it's 7'10" x 9'10". I really like this wool rug. It's got some blues, teals, and a little bit of yellow in it. It isn't tightly woven like other tufted wool rugs so it is very soft for wool. I have vacuumed it three times now and it is shedding less and less. It does not clog up the vacuum. One bad thing is that every so often when I walk on it with bare feet I step on something hard and pokey. I have been able to pull out some of the pokey threads woven in, but some don't come out.
