The umbrella is fantastic. First, it came in 3 and 1/2 days, was well packaged and ready to use. It is quite sturdy and has an easy to use crank mechanism for raising and lowering the shade. The safety pin is an asset, something that is not always present. The umbrella seems a bit wider than 9’ as it provides great coverage for a standard 6 seater table. I ordered it in vintage merlot, which is a really nice rich red. The fabric is heavy and is coated, so will hopefully withstand the sun. Overall, seems to be high quality.. Jacqueline. Okay so here’s the thing: this came without the base so I literally can’t tell you how it performs outside yet. That said, the umbrella itself? Quality. Steel frame, weather-resistant fabric, decent weight to it (15.2 lbs), crank lift system feels smooth. The octagonal shape with the drape edge detail is cute—gives it that upgraded market umbrella vibe instead of the basic look. The beige color is exactly what it looks like online. Pole diameter is 1.5” so standard if you’re sourcing your own base. Once I actually get a base and test it through some real sun/wind (it’s rated for 16 mph), I’ll update with the actual performance. But from a quality standpoint? This thing is built to last.. Khifindsit. Connecticut. Sat Jul 04 2026
