The natural clay delivers balanced heat retention, while its micro-porous texture circulates steam to lock in moisture and deepen flavors for stews, braises, roasts and grains.

This clay pot is big enough for a family of 3 to 4 people depending on what your making. It is made of Natural clay and it has good depth for stews. The lid feels more ceramic to me..but the pot is clay. It brings in the instructions on how to use and care for it. I chise the brown and it is a nice light neutral brown color.
