I was hesitant to order this, because I'm not great at fluffing trees out, which is why I never purchase an artificial Christmas tree. However I think I did pretty good, it looks like a real tree in the corner, however the base and the trunk of it is plastic, but depending on where you place it it wouldn't be obvious. OK, so this unique modern lamp is very interesting. When I selected it, I didn’t read in details about it. I just loved the shape and aesthetic for my contemporary modern living room. It arrived with super fast shipping. It’s tall. However, assembly is tedious. I wouldn’t say it’s difficult assembly. I would say it’s tedious. There are multiple strips that you have to place in these little brackets you have to be cautious of how you assemble it which direction the brackets are facing. I think the intention is that they all faced the same direction however I flipped the bottom bracket direction um to give it a different shape at the bottom and I actually like it a lot. There are a few rubber bands to it that I don’t quite understand other than to prevent the shade pieces from spreading. It has three modes, cool, white, neutral, white, and warm white. I definitely like the warm white tone. It’s not too bright. It’s a very interesting piece. I think overall it’ll be somewhat of a challenge to keep it clean and how to dust it will be a tedious. I’ve pictured here the bracket where you insert the tabs of each individual shade strip but also what the shade strip looks like so if you can imagine having to place these one at a time around the complete thing, it does take quite a bit of time so prepare yourself ahead for about an hour to an hour and a half assembly time solo. I am just loving this floor lamp. It arrived in one medium sized box and took MAYBE five minutes to put together. This lamp is just as pretty as photos show. The pieces all fit perfectly and secured tightly. The metal stand and base were all smooth with no missing paint, scratches or blemishes of any kind. The shade is awesome. It fits evenly and is secured with a matching gold finial. The shade itself is green velvet with beads and green tassels hanging all around the bottom of the shade. A real retro vintage feel that would definitely work in a shabby chic bedroom. I was surprised that a lightbulb was included AND that the brightness can be changed. Having a floor push button is a nice touch as well. The bottom of the base has a covering on it, (to protect the floor), however, it makes my lamp wobble a tiny bit. I may need to shave off an uneven part of that covering. I am more of a visual person and This lamp is Not as large as the photos show … but the measurements are correct.
