Best price I'd seen and purchased 2 and they shipped and arrived swiftly and safely with no damage, that's impressive. But they were surprisingly very beautiful stainless and I put in my 2 size D batteries in each lid and they worked perfectly and have continued to function really awesome. They are easy to change bags with a retainer ring that holds it in place. They react immediately to motion to put in our trash and we're adapting to them easily with a very quiet close lid you'll never hear. Slim and tall design looks so good and compliments the area nicely. No scents escape now with these beauties and makes trash oddly enjoyable !!! I searched carefully for a trashcan that would both look good in the kitchen and be the right size for a small household (1- 2 people). This one is perfect. I chose platinum because I didn’t want it to be too shiny. It’s tall enough (26 inches) to hold a 13 gal., tall kitchen trash bag, but narrow enough (11.5 inch diameter) that I can still open my cabinets. (See photos.) The capacity is only 8 gallons, but if the bag has a drawstring, it’s easy to make a 13-gal. gal bag fit well. This is an amazing outdoor garbage can! We have a lake home and entertain often during the summer. As you can imagine we go through a LOT of garbage! The main problem we have had with previous garbage cans is they tend to tip over in high wind - which we have often. This will solve that problem.
