well the first thing that comes to mind is the speed of shipping that came very fast. the chair itself is awesome. I just could not find a comfortable counter height chair for my counter height kitchen table so I was thinking out of the box. I assembled it in probably a half hour to 40 minutes without any problems. I especially like the longer handle allen wrench with the bar at the end of it that made screwing in the screws a lot easier than a little finger allen wrench that you usually get with stuff. all the parts were there all the screws lined up without difficulty. chair is basic with nice coloring and ample padding on chair seat and arms. I am able to reach around while sitting to adjust the lumbar support. this chair has a rocking mechanism which I was not aware of but I havent dialed that in just yet but there is a knob to adjust the rocking mechanism. the height adjustment is pretty straightforward you have to not be sitting on the seat to raise it up. the seat is wide enough so I can sit with one leg under in a cross leg position and that was a big plus for me. the armrests lift up fully out of the way. I have lvp vinyl in the kitchen so these caster wheels slide across very easily. the foot rest is also what I had to consider and this one is perfect. all in all this is a perfect chair for my counter height kitchen table and it supports my wide load without difficulty.. We bought the Diamondback Solid Wood 24" Counter Stool in Mahogany and we LOVE them! I do wish I had bought the 30" inch stools, but hind sight is 20/20, isn't it? You really cannot tell how it would fit without seeing it in person; honestly, it would be helpful if Wayfair put the both sized stools up to the counter in a photo. For now, you have me telling you, that if you are buying this for the Dodge Kitchen Island, and especially if you are putting the wheels on that island which puts the counter at 38" high, consider buying the 30" inch stools, Ok? The Mahogany stools are not as dark as the counter top, but the black would not have matched either, soooo . . . it is what it is; we still love them because they are GORGEOUS !! You will love them too! If you do buy the 24" inch stools, know that they will be easier for your kids to climb into. The armrests allow for even distribution of bodyweight, which has made the counter stool my favorite place to sit in our whole house. I have to admit that after assembly, I went and just sat in the counter stool for a long while after waking up in the middle of the night. Yesssssss, it's that comfortable! The reason for the 4 star rating is because some of the metal tabs were bent at a 45° angle when they should have been at a 90° angle, so it helps to have the proper tools to straighten them out. These barstools are sold in sets of 2 and we needed 4. When we got them there was only 1 box that had the instructions included. I can't imagine how long it would have taken us to assemble the chairs without them....... Great part was that we couldn't have imagined that we would have such beautiful, well crafted furniture that we assembled ourselves. They look even better in person and the richness of the cushions and frames is amazing. Bar stools are very nice. Very pretty well represented in picture. The only issue is one stool came with three back legs, and one front leg. So it does not have the foot rest attached.
