I was hesitant to order this, because I'm not great at fluffing trees out, which is why I never purchase an artificial Christmas tree. However I think I did pretty good, it looks like a real tree in the corner, however the base and the trunk of it is plastic, but depending on where you place it it wouldn't be obvious. I probably wouldn't have bought something like this from Wayfair normally, but I lumped them in with other basement-related items I was getting and I'm glad I did! I had spent some time researching lights like this and a lot of them were either way more expensive and/or smaller, per unit, but these are a decent size, which makes for a cooler effect when they're all connected up together. Speaking of "effect", these lights are able to put on a show with a variety of patterns, some of which are selectable via the remote, but others for which you'll need the app, which is easy enough to setup and use. The music sync feature worked just OK, though I only tested it with a small speaker--maybe it'll work better with a more robust sound system in play. All-in-all, a solid product for the little project I was looking to do (you can see we have a nice little hallway in the basement for these to light up and have the kids run through). Note: I actually bought two sets of these and was able to get almost all of them connected, as you can see in the picture (I obviously hadn't mounted them yet), though there seems to be a limit to how *long* of a linkage you can create. If you look at the picture, any units I added on to the end would fail to light up, though that same unit would work if I connected it to the side of one of the lights already in the chain. I didn't spend a lot of time figuring out exactly what the limits are, but there seems to be something. Excellent quality, beautiful lamp with a nice number of color options. I chose green yellow. The glass shades are hand blown in clear and white, the. Thehand painted, and baked enamel. The shades are heavier, and larger, than most of this styles the lamp base has nice detailing. I like the leaves. We placed two lamps on a niche above our wet bar. Be aware, the green yellow has an extremely yellow light. I had warm white bulbs 2700 kelvin and it looked like a yellow bug light. I changed them to bright white 3000 kelvin and it helped, substantially. Great lighting for your next event. This product not only washes a wall. It has the ability to fill a full room with color. The remote is not my preferred way to operate it. The app is the way to go. It was easy to download and to operate. It had customizable functions and others that were already programed like heartbeat and strobe. Mounting bracket already intact.
