We bought this unit to install in an older home that had never had one before, and so did not have an existing switch. We weren’t sure if we would like the cover control activation or if it would feel like a compromise, but after a few weeks of use, we’d go with this style again on any future install regardless of an existing switch. So much easier to avoid dropping spoons in, and easier to keep clean and clear.. Emily. Arlington, VA. Mon Sep 14 2026

Excellent quality! Super quiet, it was delivered very promptly and excellent packaging, that was my big concern, after the delivery person threw it onto my step going upstairs.. shame on that person! They wouldn't want nobody delivering their product to them that way, but after I took it out of the box that was very securely wrapped, it worked fine! This was a garbage disposal going into our unit that our mother in law lives in. She was happy about it, cause this unit crushes disposed items very well!
