This is a very nice light fixture and it installed very easily. The only thing that I wasn’t really wild about is that the size of the light shades are rather large, and because of where the electrical box was located, when I installed this where the last fixture was, it made the light shades overlap and hang down a little bit over the mirror area. They are extra large light shades in my opinion, and I would’ve preferred a slightly smaller or more compact size, however, I can’t complain, as I should have read the specs more carefully and this is definitely a nice and attractive looking light fixture. The bulbs that I put in happen to have different settings for daylight, soft, white, etc. so the light being shed is no reflection of the fixture itself, it just totally depends on what bulbs you put in it. I like the fact that the shades are frosted as it helps to soften the overall affect and make it less harsh. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This sconce was easy to install had great directions. Replacing it over an existing one is especially easy. I had intended on repainting and putting this new sconce up as a final touch however, I never got around to getting the painting done so I needed to get this installed. I was surprised that there was no bulb included and I did not have the right size bulb because this is the smaller base bulb so I need to buy bulbs before I can actually use the light. It is very elegant looking and fits the space. I know it will be easy to take off when I paint and put back on. It also comes with a rubber tube so you can screw the bulb in because I have to use screw the glass part on the base you cannot remove it and slide it over a bulb so it’s a little tricky in that regard you don’t wanna lose that tube because that’s a long hole and you couldn’t twist it in otherwise.. Shopping online and prompt shipping worked out perfectly. I had the Allston 3-light Vanity Light installed and operable within 1.5 hours. The size/the back mounting bar was long enough (somewhat shorter than the front design) and wide enough to cover the large whole the builder made when installing the initial fixture.
