I love these lamps. They are such a bargain but they feel expensive. Solid steel (not sure if it’s Bronze) and they’re waterproof. I use it to light up the wall of the outdoor shower. This light is easy to install and gives off great light. The light base is larger than a standard ceiling outlet box to cover any imperfections in the sheetrock. You can put it over the fireplace to illuminate an artwork or shine light on a statue in the corner of the room. You can also use it to light up a small pantry, a kitchen island, or a laundry room. Some people even use it as a carriage light on the porch or put it on a covered patio. It looks so great at night with a nice, crisp light that is so clean and bright.

I normally don't rate my purchases. However, this low voltage kit appears to be of very high quality, lovely design, and made of solid metal. Easy to install and works better than expected, for the price. Only downside was that bulbs are not included, so make sure you don't purchase bulbs with too much total wattage. These attractive portable spot lamps are just what needed to brighten the reading areas in our little vacation cabin. They provide a lot of light but take up minimal space, as they mount so easily to the walls. That is: easily in principle. A problem (and the only reason for the "4" rather than "5" star rating) is that the head of the screw included is simply too big by a smidgen to fit into the hole at the back of the lamp housing! I discovered when first testing it in hand that the screw head just very barely slid in from a careful angle--but no amount of effort could get it thus situated once the screw was in the wall (the only way to mount it!) Luckily I had my own slightly smaller-headed screws that would fit the already drilled hole. But this is a factory design or packing flaw that should be corrected.. Ramona. Chicago, IL.
