I had searched for stemless acrylic wine glasses. This came up in my search where I typed in ACRYLIC or Plastic stemless wine glasses, and they looked a lot like some I bought years ago elsewhere so I ordered. They are quite nice, and were packaged very well with heavy cardboard between each and large borders around the outside edges to avoid breakage. My only issue is, they are GLASS. I was so excited to find exactly what I needed, I didn't notice that things that came up in my very specific search were glass and not acrylic. Oh well. Since it isn't really worth spending the money to return them at my cost, I will keep them and be much more careful about reading descriptions before clicking the order button. My fault.. Julia. The cabernet glass is perfect for full-bodied, complex red wines high in tannin. Its diamond shape works beautifully for big and bold new-world wines as the extreme angles offer more space to develop aromas. The generous size of this glass emphasizes fruit, smooths out the tannin's rough edges and bitter qualities, and allows wines to achieve balance. The Extreme glasses are named after their extreme contours. The bowls mimic polished diamonds and their wide angles allow plenty of room for the wine to breathe. They are specifically designed to enhance and emphasize the pleasant softness and generally fruity notes of the new-world wines.
