After the wooden block is carved with the pattern, the fabric is then prepared with multiple washes to make the fiber ready to take the dye. With the process of multiple printings and washing before the final product is placed in a dye bath of flowers and barks, the fabric goes through the hands of the block printer and dyer with utmost care.
