This Rifia lumbar pillow is thick, soft, and fluffy, 100% handmade from natural white wool without the use of any dye. With a high pile plush texture and interesting patterns expressed by the highly skilled weavers, the Rifia pillow is impossibly comfortable and authentically bohemian. The fabric has been handcrafted by master artisans and then refashioned by us to create a stylish piece that brightens any space. The fabric is sourced from the high mountainous region of Rif in Northern Morocco with the most severe climate during the winter, thus the high pile height of up to 1 inch. This type of high pile weaving is greatly dependent on its Berber female-influenced culture which mastered the intricate Berber knot for many generations.

We deliver only high quality that originates from genuine craftsmanship, superior-grade materials, and durable design. Pillow covers are double-stitched to add durability. Note that even with the high-quality wool and yarn used to make these pillows, some shedding for the first month is expected.
The high-quality wool used to weave the original fabric contributes enormously to the overall impression of the Rifia pillow, its texture, tactile, and above all its durability. Using the traditional method of hand-making a pile fabric, each knot is looped around a pair of adjacent wraps and woven through several different configurations to create a beautiful plush texture.
Our pillows are 100% handmade and may show minor imperfections which adds to their charm. Our pillow covers are professionally dry-cleaned before shipping.
