Even people with extensive rug knowledge will easily confuse this "hybrid" innovative power-loomed rug for an authentic hand-knotted piece! Side woven on power looms to create flexibility and softness using 100% New Zealand wool and accented with just a touch of viscose/wool blended fibers to add depth and drama. After the power looming is completed each piece is sent to our hand made facility where it is washed and sheared in the same manner as a hand made rug. The unbelievable soft feel and appearance is the result of handwashing each piece several times using the same paddle scraping technique used for hand-knotted rugs.
