A rich new addition to the gift-size pieces in Rug & Kilim’s Scandinavian Collection, this 3x5 rug is handwoven in a new flat weave construction using a blend of wool and exotic yarns–the soft new texture inspired by alpaca yarns representing a luxurious new line in the collection. On the Design:Admirers of the craft will appreciate our Swedish flatweave rug with an exemplary blend of wool and exotic yarns complementing the varied hues with a striated, abrashed look. Geometric patterns enjoy rich tones of forest, sage, and emerald green, where keen eyes will further admire subtle variations in the colorway—a meticulous blend of yarns that both recaptures a vintage sense of chic and lends a subtle complement to the sense of movement such an intricate series of patterns enjoys. The design features an abstract, architectural grid of interlocking rectangular forms, suggesting a verdant mosaic with a rhythmic, contemporary energy. Our flatweave’s more durable, weighted body is also a hallmark of the collection, made for high-traffic and heavy-furniture spaces. This, alongside several elements detailed here, represent R&K Principal Jahanshah Nazmiyal’s hope to honor this mid-century modern aesthetic. His Scandinavian Collection is a contribution to that style, and a renaissance for its designs with more comfortable, current techniques.Custom Capable:All sizes and colors available—inquire for a quote.
